.Elizabeth Ruth Meek (Kennedy) Anderson (passed away April 22, 2017 at the Ludington Woods Assisted Living Center, Ludington, MI at 91 years of age. Lived in North Port, FL for the past 14 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Randal A. Anderson, who died July 2016. Elizabeth was born 19 Feb 1926, in Edenton, Clermont Co., Ohio the only child of Williard and Dolores Meek. She graduated from Springboro H.S. 1943 attended Otterbein College, Westerville, OH 1944 and 1945. Elizabeth leaves behind her son Lawrence (Susan) C. Kennedy of Baldwin, MI., Mary E Kennedy, Pompano, FL. , and stepson R. Allen Anderson III (Jean) of Millville, MN. Deceased Stepchildren, Gwyneth Studebaker, and Linda Lee Anderson. She was the loving Grandmother of Lorraine E. Kennedy, Pompano Beach, FL., Matthew (Beth) L. Kennedy, Cocoa, FL, Shawn(Christina) S. Witt, Holt, MI., Chris (Amanda) Anderson, Nicholas Anderson, Sarah Anderson, Dean Anderson, Jamie (Andrew) Winkel, Jared Studebaker, Peter Studebaker; 4 Great Grandchildren, Chloe Mae Kennedy, Cocoa, FL ., Killian Witt of Holt MI , Andrew and Gwyneth Winkel of Columbus, Ohio. Elizabeth was a long term civil service employee with the U.S. Government staring with Aeronica Aircraft in Middletown Ohio then later at WPAFB, U.S. Air Force Dayton Ohio. She retired as a Program Analyst in Logistics, after more than 35 years of service. Liz and Randy enjoyed retirement at Lake Cumberland, KY, North Port, FL, and Baldwin, MI. Elizabeth or "Liz" or "Libby", as known by friends and family was active in OES 107 Miami Chapter, Dayton, OH, and at Nancy (Lake Cumberland, KY, and North Port, FL Elizabeth was a very strong, vibrant loving kind person that always put her family and friends first. Her hobby was entertaining friends and family. She excelled at cooking and homemaking. She loved the Lord, life and promoted peace and happiness to all. The family will receive friends at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd. Dayton, OH 45429 from 12 pm until time of service at 1 pm, Friday, May 5, 2017.
