Ellenise Hayre, age 88, of Morrilton, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017. She was born September 3, 1929 in Houston, Arkansas, a daughter of Franklin Thomas Clayton and Ollie Eller Lawson. She was the widow of Sam M. Hayre, worked for Oberman / Levi Strauss, was a homemaker and was a member of First Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by her sons, Sam (Gail) Hayre, Jr. of Benton, Billy (Cathy) Hayre of Alexander and Jerry (Beverly) Hayre of Morrilton; daughter, Karen (Kenny) Brown of Morrilton; seven grandchildren, Monia, Jessica, B.J., Clayton, Callie, Katelyn and Kendall; and eight great grandchildren, Maggie, Hadley, Lilli, Kaley, Aymslee, Shade, Logan and Silas. Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Shannon M. Hayre. Ellenise was the last sibling of eleven children: five brothers and five sisters.
Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. Monday, September 18, at Wolf Cemetery with Bro. Joe Alzate and Bro. Larry Miller officiating. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
