Ellsworth "El" Noah Seegert, age 92 of Dundee, Michigan, passed into the presence of his Savior and Lord on July 17th, 2014 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. He was born July 24, 1921 in Riga, Michigan to George and Lena (Fisher) Seegert. He served in the 34th Infantry (Red Bull) Division of the Army National Guard during World War II, 1942-1945, in Japan, Italy and the Philippines and received the Purple Heart. He worked 17 years for the Monroe County drain commission, retiring in 1988, and also a partner with Ruskin Tansel at the Ford Dealership in Dundee. Ellsworth also had his own milk route for Driggs Dairy.
He loved his Lord and his family and enjoyed going to baseball games and watching the Tigers on television. He lived in Winter Haven, Florida before moving back to Dundee last year.
Ellsworth married his loving wife, Ruby Stetter on May 23, 1942 in Monroe and she survives along with his children, Dr. Carole (Gene) Jenne, of Lambertville, Kenneth (Janet) Seegert, of Dundee, Catherine (Kenneth) Pineau-Oishi, of Ann Arbor, Kevin (Kay) Seegert. Of Petersburg, grandchildren, Jeanne Segler, Philip Jenne, Rebecca Breitner, Jennifer Franklin, Chris Pineau, Aimee Bahs, Jordon Seegert, Joshua Seegert and 12 great grandchildren, along with sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and other loving family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, ten brothers and one sister. To honor Ellsworth's wishes there will not be any visitation or funeral service. Arrangements by H. H.
