TURNER---Elsie Brindley Talbot, 90, of Turner passed away peacefully at her home on the morning of Monday, December 11, 2017, with her family by her side. She was born in Blue Hill, ME on July 7, 1927, a daughter of the late Rev. Thomas and Elma (Smiley) Brindley. Elsie attended schools in the Auburn area and was a graduate of Edward Little High School, class of 1945. On April 16, 1949, she married F. Warren Talbot and the two started a family together. During that time, Elsie took great pride in tending to the needs of her family and their household. In her free time, she will always be remembered for her love of quilting and reading, snowmobiling (in her younger days), spending quality time with her family and weekends at the camp in Eustis. She was a member of the Federated Church in Turner, the Pine Tree Quilters and the Evening Extension Group. She will be deeply missed by many.

Elsie is survived by her children; Barbara T. Sinclair and her husband Doug of Scarborough, Margaret T. Carroll of Cape Coral, FL, Richard W. Talbot of Martinsburg, WV, Stephen W. Talbot and his wife Kathy of North Turner, and David W. Talbot and his wife Kim of Northfield, NH. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, as well as a niece and two nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband F. Warren Talbot, her two sisters, Ruth B. Cheney and Margaret B. Duym, a brother, Thomas L. Brindley, and a nephew, J. Russell Duym. Condolences may be shared with her family at www.thefortingroupauburn.com

A memorial gathering will be held at Fortin\Auburn on Sunday December 17, 2017 from 11am-1pm, where family and friends can celebrate her life. Interment will take place at a later date. Those wishing, in lieu of flowers, may make a charitable contribution in her memory to the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society 15 Strawberry Ave. Lewiston, ME 04240 for Elsie's love of all animals.
