Transitioned to a new being and has left behind a loving wife, of 41 years, Sue; daughters, Jennifer Herrera, Glenda Almquist (Jeff), And Beth Schatzberg (Ronnie); Sons, John Mansker (Bev) and Andy Mansker; Grandsons, Victor Lorenzo, Joey Herrera, Austin Crespo, Zack Mansker, Blake Mansker, and Cole Schatzberg; granddaughters, Madison Schatzberg, Ashley Ann Mansker, and Sara Ann Mansker. Buddy was predeceased by a son, Reid Mansker; Brothers, Reverend George McMaster and Reid McMaster; Father, Dr. Elvis O Mansker; and Mother, Marie Livingston.

Born and raised in South Tampa, Buddy attended Roosevelt, Wilson, and Plant, class of 1950. After high school, he attended University of Florida until being drafted into the Army, where he became a part of OSS. He served the Army for 3 years. After the Army, he pursued a career at Texaco Corporation and evidentially owned and operated Buddy’s Texaco for 10 years. Buddy never met a stranger, he would give you the shirt off his back. He helped a lot of people in need. After the station was sold, Buddy obtained his real estate license and sold real estate at the beach until his retirement.

Buddy was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He was the kind of dad that all the neighborhood kids wanted to come over and go out on outdoor adventures with. We were always doing fun things like going out in the boat at the lake place in Dade City. Just being on the water with the family made him the happiest. Buddy was a great father figure to Victor, Joey, and Austin. Dad would always ask Austin, “What did you catch today?” when Austin would return from fishing every weekend.

He will be dearly missed and his memory carries on in all of our hearts. Till we meet again!

Services will be Sunday, May 28, 2017, 1p at Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church, 3501 W. San Jose St. (across from Plant High). Following services the family will celebrate Buddy’s love for Ice Cream with a Ice Cream Social in the fellowship hall.
