Emily Clyde Holland Stephenson, age 95, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2017.
Mrs. Stephenson was born on July 19, 1922 in Dothan, AL, daughter of the late Isaac Eli Holland and Iris Dainton Culpepper Holland.
Mrs. Stephenson was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was a true and faithful servant of the Lord and a proud member of the Baptist faith and taught children's and adult Sunday School class for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed country cooking, reading and writing. She is already greatly missed, but will never be forgotten.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter K. Stephenson; daughter, Emily Iris Gudzinski; sister, Elizabeth Carlisle; granddaughter, Kathy Christiansen Rich.
Survivors include her sons, David Sonny (Alexis) Stephenson and William Michael (Kay) Stephenson; daughter, Marcia (JP) Perry; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at twelve o'clock in the afternoon on Friday, the 28th of July, 2017 in the Chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Harris officiating. Private Entombment will be held on Monday, the 1st of August, 2017 at Vista Memorial Gardens, Miami, FL.
Friends are cordially invited to a gathering with the family from eleven o'clock in the morning until service time at Owen Funeral Home.
