Emma Rendek, 90, went to be with the Lord on December 27, 2017. She was a resident at Parks Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Orlando.



Emma was born in Gyer, Hungary on April 15, 1927. She was the daughter of Istvan and Melegrosa Simon. Emma grew up in Gyer but moved to Budapest after she married. She escaped from Budapest with her husband and firstborn son during the revolution of 1956. The family settled in Schenectady, New York. A second son, James, was born two years after the family arrived in America. Emma was a seamstress by trade and enjoyed church activities, music and volunteering at her sons’ high school. She was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Schenectady, New York. In 2011, she moved to Orlando, Florida to be with her son Carl and his family. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl and her youngest son, James. She is survived by her son Carl, his wife Sandy, and their two children Emily and Joshua.





Funeral services celebrating Emma’s life will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 30, at the Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home located at 1413 S. Semoran Blvd, Orlando. (Viewing will be from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.)
