Ervin Sidney Deal, 80, of Valdese passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020 at his home.
Ervin was born May 14, 1940 in Burke County to the late Charles Sidney Deal and Lillie Mae Smart Deal. He attended Drexel Primary , Elementary, and High School. He lived in Valdese all his life. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Drexel. Ervin worked at Valdese Auto Parts and Morganton Auto Parts for 15 years before opening Ervin's Parts and Service. He served many wonderful customers through the years, in the community that he loved.
In addition to his parents, Ervin was preceded in death by his sister, Kathleen Deal Carswell; brother, Yates Edward Deal; sister-in-law, Betty Brittain Deal; niece, Shelia Renee' Carswell; and nephew, Terry Eugene Carswell.
Ervin is survived by a brother, Albert Deal; sister-in-law, Becky Deal; son, Richard Sidney Deal; daughter, Donna Annette Deal Norville; son-in-law, Michael Norville; granddaughter, Michaela Nicole Norville; grandson, Richard Ashley Rich; ex-wife, Kaye Scruggs Deal; sister-in-law, Debra Walsh Verran; nephews, Scott Deal and Brad Deal; nieces, Cindy Deal McCaslin and Tammy Stevens; and a number of great nephews and nieces.
A memorial service will be held 2:00PM Wednesday, January 6, 2021 in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service with Rev. Steve Walsh, and Rev. Gregg Klapp officiating.
Inurnment will follow at Burke Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Alzheimer's Association of Western North Carolina at 31 College Place Suite Doppler 103, Asheville, NC 28801.
