Sadly, after an eight month battle with Leukemia, Ethan Michael Dailide (39) passed on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte N.C. The beloved fourth child to Vyto and Nancy Dailide, Ethan was born on February 23, 1980 in Mayfield Hts., Ohio. He would grow up to be a talented photographer, a compassionate animal lover, a fun and silly Uncle as well as a very good guy with a beautiful smile.

In April 2003, Ethan became a proud father to his son, Kaden Ethan. Ethan grew up in Northfield, Ohio, Canton, Mi., and Dillsburg, Pa., as his father's work with the railroad had the family transferred three times over his formative years.

He was an active Boy Scout, who enjoyed camping, swimming and outdoor adventures. He played Little League Baseball, Pee Wee and High School Football and was on the Swim Team in Middle School. He loved riding roller coasters with his siblings, nephews and son on the annual family trips to Cedar Point. He enjoyed family vacations to Orlando, Fl. and Gulf Shores, Al. Ethan graduated Class of 1998 from Plymouth-Salem High School in Canton, Mi. and the earned his Associates Degree in Photography at Washtenaw Community College in Mi.

Before and after College (1996-2000) he worked for Photographic Impressions (Plymouth, Mi.) where he took photos of the local sport teams. He went on to work for Awesome Bounce, Ford Motor Co., U.S.A. Today and Fan Photography at Detroit's Major Sporting events.

In September 2014, Ethan relocated to Charlotte, N.C. where he worked as a photographer at the NASCAR Hall of Fame. He loved his photography work and had a fun rapport with those he photographed. He really enjoyed N.C.'s warmer climate and going on bike rides with his camera hanging around his neck looking for interesting new subjects to photograph. Hiking the natural areas of Charlotte with his loyal hiking buddy, his dog Jonesie.

As an active member of many Facebook Groups, Ethan has thousands of friends on Facebook, as well as many, many friends in Mi. and N.C. He has a large extended family located all over the U.S. and Italy, who loved him.

Unfortunately in late May 2019 Ethan was diagnosed with Leukemia. Although he fought long and hard to keep his positivity up, the Leukemia was just too aggressive.

Ethan is survived by his son, Kaden Ethan Dailide; his loving parents, Vytautas (Vyto) Dailide and Nancy Delmoro Dailide; his siblings, Heather (Michael) Hale, Erik Dailide, Adam (Dayna) Dailide, and Gina (Timothy) Dailide-Yarbrough; and his nephews and nieces: Mason, Adriana, Damien, Douglas, Ava, Zander, and Donovan. Also, his four aquatic turtles, his kitty, Shortie and his faithful canine companion Jonesie, who went missing in late November while Ethan was hospitalized and has still yet to be found.

There will be a Celebration of Ethan's Life, on what would have been his 40th Birthday, February 23, 2020 at L.J.Griffin Funeral Home, 42600 Ford Rd., Canton, Mi. 48187. Visitation begins at 1p.m. with prayers said at 3p.m. In lieu of flowers please direct memorial contributions in Ethan's honor to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Ethan is already greatly missed and fondly remembered by countless family and friends whose lives he touched.
