Ethel was born on November 26th 1942 in picher, Oklahoma. At that time it was just her mother Sylvia, father Orval and brother. she spent her early years in Oklahoma moving to Arizona in her early teens. In her teen years she spent a large about of time with her cousin Shirley and soon met her husband James Boyd. Ethel married James and together they had two beautiful boys, James and robert. Ethel always worked her hardest to be the best wife and mother she could possibly be. In 1977 the good lord decided it was time for Ethel's husband James to join him in heaven and Ethel was left to raise her two sons without their father. Through all the struggles of life she managed to be one of the hardest workers ever known. She juggled being a single mother, working 3 jobs and still had time to remain a devoted baptist. As time went by Ethel was blessed with many grandchildren. Ethel was the best grandmother any child could ask for. Ethel was always stepping up and filling in where others lack. She spend most of her life caring for others. Ethel helped her mother with her siblings that followed after her, she raised her two sons and took her grandchildren in and raised them as her own. Ethel will be missed tremendously by all the hearts she touched with her caring ways. Her life is celebrated at a visitation Friday, December 29, 2017, 5:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Resthaven/Carr-Tenney Mortuary 4310 E.
