ETHEL MARKEL - - On Monday, April 9, 2018, Ethel Markel, wife, mother and sister, passed away from cancer at the age of 76. Ethel will be lov- ingly remembered by her husband and best friend of 50 years, Gene, and her two sons, Anthony (Joanna) and Andrew. She will also be remembered by her granddaughters, Caitlyn and Abigail. Ethel was born in Kimble, NE to Tom and Helen Fox and grew up on a farm with her brothers Billy, Tommy, Jerry and Denny. She was the oldest of the five children and was known simply as “sister”. Ethel worked for Central Transport for 19 years and worked her way up from data entry to the manager of payroll. She also served on the board of the Metro- politan Youth Symphony. A celebration of Ethel’s Life will take place on May 20, 2018 at 3218 York Dr., Troy MI 48084 from 12-7 PM. In- stead of flowers, please make a donation to the Beaumont Health Foundation.
