Eula Madalene Jordan, age 92, of Pollock, Missouri, passed away Monday morning, March 30, 2015, at Sullivan County Long Term Care in Milan, Missouri.
Eula was born on September 18, 1922 near Pollock, daughter of Ira and Cleo Ethel Doolin Davis. On June 27th, 1938 she married James Garrett Jordan Junior in Unionville, Missouri and had celebrated 71 years of marriage before his passing on October 1st, 2009. Survivors include: four daughters, Kay Page of Osage Beach, Missouri, Alberta and Rex Whitworth of Kirksville, Missouri, Linda and Mike Gramling of Lawson, Missouri, and Cindy and Pat Mosley of Browning, Missouri; one son, Steven Jordan of Milan; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; two sisters, Norma Leonard of Milan, and Sandra Sayles of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one aunt, Alberta Doolin Carson of Walnut, California; good friend and sister-in-law, Mamie Jordan Fleshman of Milan; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; one son, Tony James Jordan; a son-in-law, Wallace Page; a grandson, Cody Jordan; a great granddaughter, Ashton Hart; a brother, Leon Dale Davis; four sisters, Dorothy Pauline, Jaunita Jean, Zo Anne, and Donna Louise and her husband Eugene McClanahan; brother-in-laws, Carroll Leonard, Charley Fleshman, Richard Sayles, and Ira Smith; and a sister-in-law, Mary Alice Jordan Smith.
Eula lived most of her life in Sullivan County, besides living a few years in Waterloo, Iowa during the war where she worked at an ammunition plant. She then moved to the farm they purchased and lived on all of their married life. They had a small dairy and cow calf operation, Eula also worked with her husband in construction, and raised 6 children. She was a member of the Pollock Community Bible Church, and had served as Church Secretary/Treasurer. She enjoyed the Church Singsperation, and going to all the music shows. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, and getting her hair fixed. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren. Eula loved reading and studying her Bible, and loved the Lord, Jesus Christ!
Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon, Thursday, April 2, 2015, at Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Milan. Burial will follow at Scobee Cemetery, south of Pollock. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the service time on Thursday.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Pollock Community Bible Church and Scobee Cemetery.
