She became the cardiovascular supervisor over the EKG and EEG Departments at Menorah for 15 years. During that time she wrote a training manual, received multiple letters of commendation for such things as developing a pre-operative diagnostic procedure, a personnel procedure for staph infections, for being an excellent supervisor, and having efficient staff that provided prompt service with a pleasant attitude. In 1960, she also suggested separating the dining area and lounge with folding or permanent doors to separate smokers from non-smokers.

She was also on the Parish Council, the Legion of Mary as secretary, the council of Catholic Women, St. Joan of Arc Guild and the Human Concerns group. Evelyn also was a Eucharist Minister at nursing homes.

Evelyn also became a medical transcriptionist at Truman Medical Center – Lakewood, from which she retired from her medical career in 1995.
