Evelyn Wendrzycki, 97, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at Compassionate Care Hospice at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton. Born in Trenton, Evelyn was a lifelong area resident. During World War II she worked at Eastern Aircraft as a plane riveter. After raising her children, she worked for Babe Ruth Baseball Headquarters as a Mail Clerk and retired in 1982. Evelyn was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary #3525 where she held offices as President, Secretary, Treasurer, Patriotic Instructor and Trustee. She also was President of District 18 Ladies Auxiliary. Evelyn joined the Mercerville Friendship Club in 1986 and held positions of President for six years, Treasurer and Secretary. She also was the President of Mercer County Coalition Club. Predeceased by her parents, George H. and Angeline (Remsen) McCullic and her loving husband of 58 years, Joseph A. Wendrzycki; she is survived by her daughter, Patricia Wendrzycki of Hamilton; her son, Roger Wendrzycki and wife, Connie, of Spring Hill, FL; her grandchildren, Brian Wendrzycki and wife, Roberta, of Hillsborough and Stacy Christian and husband, Robert, of Mercerville; four great-grandchildren, Mitchell and Tabitha Christian and Sophia and Scott Wendrzycki; her nephew, Raymond Wendrzycki and wife, Sue, of Trenton; as well as several cousins. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Hamilton, NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mrs. Wendrzycki’s memory to the American Heart Association, 1 Union Street, Robbinsville NJ 08691.
