Everett Guy Gibson, 86, of Cross Lanes passed away December 13, 2016 at home after a long illness.



Guy was born January 15, 1930 to the late Edward H. and Edna G. Hinzman Gibson. He was also preceded in death by his twin brother, Edward H. Gibson Jr., and a sister, Oletta Richardson.



Left to cherish his memory is brother, James “Cricket” Gibson of Nitro; sisters, Loretta McCormick of Ripley, and Sally Bowyer of Charleston; and several nieces and nephews.



Guy was an Army Veteran having served during the Korean War. He was an owner/operator and retired Truck Driver, Master Mason at Ripley Lodge #16, and a 32nd Degree Shriner at the Beni Kedem Temple, Charleston.



Service will be at 12:30pm Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home, 5233 Rocky Fork Road, Cross Lanes, WV 25313 with Henry Lanham, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.



A gathering of family and friends will be one hour before the service at the funeral home.



The family would like to give special thanks to Danny Slater who was always there to help our brother, and to our niece, Diane, for helping to care for Guy.
