Fannie Levy Doolittle, age 95, passed away on February 3, 2017, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, following a brief illness. She was born in Shreveport on June 9, 1921, to Mae Breshnahan and August Picard Levy. She remained a resident for 92 years until she moved in 2014 to be near family.

She was as active member of St. John Berchman's Cathedral and enjoyed participation in the Ladies Circle group. She attended South Highlands Elementary and was a graduate of C. E. Byrd High School. For over fifty years, she was a loyal employee of ArkLa Gas until her retirement. Anyone who knew Fannie has a "Fannie story". These stories will keep her memory alive in each of us for years to come.

She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, James Clyde (Jimmy) Doolittle, Sr., her parents; a brother, Benjamin, a sister, Elizabeth and son-in-law, Jerry Barner.

She is survived by her three children: James C. (Jimmy) Doolittle and wife, Julia of Cheyenne, WY; Elizabeth Barner of Lynchburg, VA and Mary Katherine Wright of Mount Hope, AL. She is also survived by six grandchildren who fondly called her Granny: Michelle Doolittle of Shreveport, LA, Kristen Doolittle Rieman of Cheyenne, WY, Robert Buckner Barner or Appomattox, VA, Edmund Charles Henson of Selma, AL, Mary Margaret Alston of Mobile, AL and Patrick Sullivan of Houston, TX and 7 great grandchildren.

Burial will be private.
