Felisa Norma Gabuyo Oboza was born on April 23, 1938 in Urdaneta, Pangasinan, Philippines, the eldest child of Gaudencio R. Gabuyo and Anastacia V. Gabuyo.



Fondly known as Norma to many and Manang to her siblings, she married Salvador Oboza on March 23, 1968 in Pasig, Philippines and they had one son, Dennis.



After spending more than 45 years in the Philippines, Norma and her family moved to North Charleston, South Carolina and joined her parents and siblings in 1985. She had a bright personality and loved being around and engaging with her family and friends. Devoted to her family and a devout woman, Norma enjoyed gardening with her husband and reading was her favorite pastime.



Norma is predeceased by her parents and one sister, Consorcia.



She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Salvador; her son Dennis (Leah); two grandchildren, Jehnel (Joshua) and Jasmine; one great-grandchild, Jude, whom she loved dearly and was so proud of; five siblings, Ernesto (Carmen), Conrado (Teresita), Gaudencio Jr. (Teresa), Maria Elena (Nelson), and Mario (Nilda); and many nieces and nephews.



The visitation will be held at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home on Monday, June 26, 2017 from 6 to 8 pm, with the Rosary Service at 7 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St.John's Roman Catholic Church, North Charleston on Tuesday June 27, 2017 at 10 am. Cremation will be private.
