Fineus Leon Cashion, 79, of Benbrook, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017. Services will be 10:00 am Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Laurel Land Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Laurel Land Memorial Park. No public visitation is planned.





Leon was born on December 10, 1937 in Godley, Texas. He attended Paschal High School in Fort Worth and married Nancy Trott on January 20, 1957. He was an accomplished business owner, and he and Nancy had three children together: Linda, Michael and Jimmy.





Throughout his life, Leon enjoyed sports and several hobbies, including fastpitch softball, couples figure roller skating with Nancy, golf, bowling and hunting; as a young man, he was a rodeo clown and bull rider, and even tried roller derby for a bit. Leon was a very hard worker who ran his own glass company from 1968 until the time of his death. Over the years, he sponsored two men’s fastpitch softball teams, who competed in national tournaments. Leon was an incredibly generous man who had many friends and was loved by all.





He is preceded in death by wife of 58 years: Nancy Cashion, parents: Agnes and Fineus Drue Cashion, and brother: Arthur Cashion. He is survived by brothers: Bennie Cashion and wife Sharon and David Cashion, children: Linda Torrez and husband Joe, Michael Cashion and Jimmy Cashion, grandchildren: Randy Taylor and wife Emma, Laura Hutyra and husband Jordan, Jonathon Cashion, Jay Torrez and Hal Torrez, and five great-granddaughters. He will be dearly missed.
