Floyd was born on February 12, 1923 and passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2017.

Floyd was a resident of Campbellsville, Kentucky at the time of passing.

He was a veteran of World War II having served his country honorably in the United States Army as a tank crewman and received The American Theater Ribbon, Purple Heart Medal, World War II Victory Medal, European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with one Bronze Star and Good Conduct Medal.
