Floydene “ Micki” McAtee

Micki McAtee, 92, passed away on June 21, 2017 in Louisburg, KS. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Warren “Mac” McAtee of Kansas City. Her family wasn’t always blood. It was the people in her life that wanted her there; the ones that accepted her for who she was. The ones that would do anything to see that she smiled and loved her no matter what. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother and she will be missed by all of her family, especially her son Tom.

Micki grew up in Northwest Missouri and went to Gilman City High School where she met her husband, Mac. She followed him during his service in the U. S. Army and lived in Texas and California while he served. They made their home in Kansas City North.

Micki could do just about anything she set her mind to do. She could fix about anything. She was an amazing seamstress. From all types of clothing to beautiful bedspreads and tablecloths. Thanks to her beautifully crafted pieces we will be able to keep a part of her with us always and pass them on to her loved ones. She enjoyed fishing with her husband – and usually caught the most fish! Her family enjoyed her quick wit.

A memorial service will be held at Grace Baptist Church, 3101 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City, MO 64119 on July 5th at 7:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Vintage Park Activities Fund, 202 Rogers Road, Louisburg, KS 66053.
