Frances Moy Kvapil passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, in her home at The Village of Incarnate Word on Monday, April 8, 2013, at the age of 81 yrs., 7 months and 29 days. She married Frank Kvapil on June 26, 1953 in Poth, Texas. Frank preceded her in death on February 12, 1994. Frances is survived by her youngest brother Chris Kotara, daughters Carolyn Mosmeyer and husband Lynn; Darlene Livingston and husband Donald; and Janice Luffman and husband Jim, and her son Ed Kvapil and wife Gerry. She is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Aaron Mosmeyer; Ashley and Amber Livingston; Jennifer, Kimberly, Christopher, and Justin Kvapil, and Jason Luffman. Frances Moy was born in Falls City, Texas on August 9, 1931 to Lawrence and Mary Moy. She was raised in Poth, Texas. After their marriage, she and Frank made their home in San Antonio, where Frances worked for many years for the San Antonio Independent School District. She enjoyed cooking, cake decorating and gardening. Her Catholic Faith, husband, children and grandchildren were the focus of her life. Her house was a second home to family and friends who visited often. She retired to The Village in April, 2010, where she made many new friends and rediscovered friends from her youth. She was amazingly courageous during her battle with heart disease. She will be remembered fondly and missed dearly. Rosary and visitation will be held at Holy Name Catholic Church 3814 Nash Blvd. San Antonio, Texas 78223 on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Holy Name Catholic Church on Friday, April 12, 2013 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow the funeral at Blessed Sacrament Cemetery, Poth, Texas. The family wishes to thank the business/assisted living nursing staff at The Village and Vitas Hospice Care personnel for the wonderful care provided to our Mother during her final days.
