Frances “Ileen” Oyler, 97, was called home on April 19, 2017, at North Care Hospice House in North Kansas City, Missouri. Visitation at 9AM on Saturday, Apr. 22 at Floral Hills Funeral Home with funeral at 10AM. Burial at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

Ileen was born on July 22, 1919 to parents Lester Ray and Nellie Mae (Hawver) Kackley. She had two brothers and one sister. Ileen married the love of her life, Charles Richard Oyler, on July 7, 1940 and enjoyed 55 joyful years together. They had three children, 2 sons and a daughter.

Ileen was a quick witted, beautiful soul who brought great joy to all those fortunate enough to have known her. She was tremendously creative and seldom enjoyed an idle moment. She kept her loving hands constantly busy with cooking, sewing, gardening, canning, housekeeping, book keeping, and her exceptional organizational skills. However, it wasn’t until she found her gift of painting that she truly shined. She created countless beautiful works that she graciously shared with all. Little did she know she was sprinkling pieces of her soul to comfort us in her passing.

Ileen was an unfailing believer in her savior Jesus Christ. She leaves this earth full knowing that she will be welcomed by His loving embrace and reunited with her husband as well as all those who preceded her in death. Jesus said unto her, “I am the resurrection, and the life: the one who believes in me will live, even though they die.” (John 11:25)

Ileen was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Nellie Kackley; her husband, Charles Richard Oyler; and her brother, Dale Kackley.

Ileen is survived by her sons, Wayne (Mary) Oyler of Raytown, Missouri and Terry (Vanessa) Oyler of Independence, Missouri; her daughter, Cheryl (Lee) Allen of Bremen, Alabama; her sister, Inez Johnson of Oak Grove, Missouri; her brother, Donald (Sylvia) Kackley of Blue Springs, Missouri; her grandchildren, Patrick Oyler, Katie Saul, Julie Stikes, Erin Weems, Sean Oyler; and her 11 great grand children.
