Lieutenant-Commander Francis "Frank" Donald Adams, 73, died peacefully on July 5, 2017. Frank served honorably for 40 years in multiple branches of the US military.



Frank was born on September 23, 1943 in Pottsville, PA to Frances and Matthew Adams.



Frank loved God and his country and was a devoted husband and father. He married Jacqueline “Jackie” Chapman in San Antonio, TX in 1967. He retired from the Air Force in 1969, moved his family to Miami where he continued serving his country through the Army Reserves while attending the University of Miami and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering. His educational accomplishments enabled him to earn a position in the Department of Defense, which later led to a commission in the US Navy Reserves in Orlando. He continued his graduate education at UCF earning two Masters Degrees in the engineering fields. In 2001 Frank retired, which allowed him to focus on his family and travel the world with his beloved wife.



He is survived by his son, Donald Adams and his wife Shirley and granddaughter Jessica Bedard; son Jimee Adams; daughter Debbie Sweezey and husband Gary and granddaughter Jada and grandson Cash.



He also is survived by his sisters-in law Maureen Adams and Lois Kasner, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 9, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 994 E. Altamonte Drive, Altamonte Springs, Florida with funeral service Monday, July 10, 2017 at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Longwood, Longwood, Florida.
