Francis “Frank” McQuade, age 63, died suddenly on Saturday, July 15, 2017 in Tampa, FL.

Frank is survived by his wife of 20 years, Karen Glodoski; his two children, Allison Ferero and Patrick McQuade, and son-in-law, Joseph Ferero; three sisters, Mary Ellen Dorio, EIleen Hernandez, and Liz Waiberman; his two cherished grandchildren, Anthony and Nicholas Ferero; and multiple nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Elizabeth McQuade; and two younger sisters, Noreen and Patricia.

Frank was born and raised in Bayside, New York in a big Irish Catholic family. He was an athlete throughout his life; playing football, baseball, basketball, and participating in track & field. He went to Holy Cross High School, graduating in 1972. He was always a hard worker, and spent the entirety of his career in the Insurance/Network Management field, working for Metlife, Humana, Beech Street, and Aetna.

Frank was a family man and they were his source of immense joy, constant laughter and a smile that lit up a room. He was a loving husband, wonderful father, and “The Greatest Grandpa in the Whole Wide World.”

He loved watching country-western movies, and sports of all kinds, but most especially whatever sports his grandkids were playing. He and Karen enjoyed traveling and always made an adventure out of any place they went. He was very social, and kept in touch with friends both near and far.

He was actively involved with St. Timothy Catholic Church, serving with Karen as Eucharistic Ministers during mass. The world will not be the same without Frank in it.

There will be a Funeral Mass in his honor at St. Timothy Catholic church in Lutz on Friday, July 21st.
