GORDNIER, Frank F., age 89, of Dayton, OH, formerly of Rochester NY, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2017. Frank was a member of Mason United Methodist Church. He served in the Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He graduated from Syracuse University in 1949 and was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity of Syracuse. He was a past Master of Unity Lodge #479, Past High Priest of Hiram Chapter #62 R.A.M., a member of Doric Council #19 Cryptic Masons, a member of Cyrene-Monroe Commandery # 12 Knights Templer, a former member of Empire State Passenger Association, in New York, and a member of the Antioch Temple AANMS and Past President of the High 12 Club, in Dayton and Ohio. He worked for Rochester Telephone Corp. for 20 years then moved to the Washington D.C. area where he was with Amtrak for 5 years. He was also the owner of Travel Adventures Inc in the Washington D.C. area for 15 years. Preceded in death by parents Raymond and Elsie (French) Gordnier. Survived by his loving wife, Gwen of 66 1/2 years; 2 sons, Dr. Raymond (Laura) Gordnier of Centerville and Frank Jr. (Pamela) of Syracuse, NY; one daughter, Judith (Clinton) Bostelman of Napoleon, OH; 9 grandchildren, Theresia, Peter (Nicole), Shari and Michael Gordnier; Amy, Jeffrey (Sarah) and Matthew Bostelman; Corinne and Caitlin (George) Gordnier; and 6 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Routsong Funeral Home Kettering, 2100 East Stroop Rd, with military honors and a service to follow. Masonic and graveside services will be in White Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, Rochester, N.Y. In memory of Frank, contributions may be made to the Masonic charity of your choice.
