Franklyn L. Wade, 80, of Woodburn, passed away on January 22, 2017. Born on July 16, 1936, in St. Joe, he was a son of the late Albert and Madonna Wade. A member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Harlan; he served his country in the Army and retired from BF Goodrich after many years of service. "Frank was a loving husband, father, brother and uncle. His family will miss him dearly but take comfort that he is reunited with his loving wife."
He is survived by his children, Damita Wade and Stacy Wade; sisters, Marlyn Funk and Marcia Sible; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Letha Wade; siblings, Beverly Bell, Margaret Barkman, Sally Wolfe and Edward Wade.
Funeral service will be 10am Friday January 27, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 18330 State Road 37, Harlan, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm, Thursday January 26, at Hockemeyer Funeral Home 17629 State Road 37, Harlan. Burial will be at Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
