Fred A. Hartman, 92, of Morrilton, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2016. He was born January 16, 1924 to John and Helen Sponer Hartman. Fred served in World War II with General Patton's Third Army. He retired from Morrilton Packing Company (Petit Jean Meats). He loved fishing, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, the Arkansas Razorbacks, Days of our Lives, Young and Restless, and Dialing for Dollars.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Carl, Tony, and Johnny Hartman and sister, Marie Haralson.
He is survived by his sister, Theresa Tyler (Bob) of Conway and many nieces and nephews who loved him and will miss his presence in their lives.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 19, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Jack Harris and Father Jim Burnie officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. Rosary will be 6:00 p.m. Sunday, with visitation following at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Endowment Fund or Sacred Heart Catholic Church Building Fund.
