Mr. Fred Thomas Craig, 92, of Carnesville, GA passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2015, at the Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens, GA.

Mr. Craig was born in Carnesville, GA on November 19, 1922, son of the late Fred Carlton Craig and the late Ada Pilgrim Craig. He was a farmer and aUnited States Navy Veteran having served in World War II. He was also a member and former deacon of the Middle River Baptist Church in Carnesville, GA.

Survivors include his wife, Elsie Roach Craig; children and spouses, Dennis and Phyllis Craig of Carnesville, GA and Carolyn and David Norris of Douglas, GA; grandchildren and spouses, Brian and Allison Norris, Christa and Jamie Turner, and Amanda and Tony Hosch; great-grandchildren, Cameron Turner, Carlyn Turner, and Denver Norris.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Craig was preceded in death by his brother, William Craig; and sister, Louise Worley.

Funeral services for Mr. Craig will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at the Middle River Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Jamison and Rev. Bill Stacey officiating. Mr. Craig will be placed in the church at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Pruitt Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday evening. The family is at the home.
