FREDDIE LELAND DECKMAN



Freddie Leland Deckman, born February 26, 1931 in Randolph, MO died in his home on November 2, 2017.



He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was a locomotive engineer for Norfolk & Western Railroad from 1955 to 1990. Freddie was a Master Gardener with University of MO since 1990, a Youth Friend at Chouteau Elementary, avid gardener, horticulturist and conservationist. He had a love for his farm, tractors and skid loaders. Loved to dig ponds and playing in the dirt.



Preceded in death by his sons Patrick Phillip Deckman, Paul Fredrick Deckman, parents Elva McKenzie and Herbert Deckman and great grandson Rayland Lee.



Survivors include wife Patricia Anne Deckman, children Terry Lee Deckman, Tamara D. Thissen, Penelope Kay Keeton and Tara (Rodney) Anne Parker, daughter-in-law Brenda Deckman. 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, brother Clarence O. (Roberta) Deckman, sister Vicki Golubski, step brother Taylor Howell and sister-in-law Phoebe L. Ross.



Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00pm Tuesday, November 7th, White Chapel Funeral Home, Gladstone, MO, with a memorial service starting at 6:00pm. In lieu of flowers please donate to a charity of your choice.
