GARLAND FRANK FONES, age 80, of Manassas, VA passed away Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Manassas Health and Rehab.

He was born Nov. 30, 1932 in Fairfax, VA the son of the late Frank and Janice Fones. He was a retired surveyor for Duberry and Davis in Fairfax.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Nancy Fones and a son, Robert Fones.

Survivors include his children, Jeannie Owens, Janice Yancey and husband Will, Larry Fones and wife Donna; daughter-in-law, Shelley Fones; sister, Ellen Mayo and husband Don; nine grandchildren, Tiffany Fones, Brittany Zakkak, Jennifer Owens, Sarah Bugbee, Katie Haynes, Garland Fones, Deborah Yancey, Carson Fones, Shelley Ann Fones; great grandchildren, Lawna and Brielle Zakkak.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center St., Manassas, VA. Funeral services will be held 11:30am Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 8006 Centreville Rd., Manassas, VA with Pastor Bob Yarbrough officiating.
