Gavyn Lee Slobodzian passed away peacefully in the arms of his mommy on October 12, 2016.
He was born at 2:28 p.m. on August 16, 2016 in Tampa, Florida. He was born overdue at 41 weeks along.
Gavyn was the son of Sierra Chavez and Joseph Slobodzian.
He is survived by one sibling: Shyloh Slobodzian, 1.5 years old.
His maternal grandparents are Al and Ashley Chavez and Heather Smith; and paternal grandparents, Johanna Marrero-Diaz and Todd Slobodzian.
Gavyn gave us a lifetime of love during his short time on earth. From the minute he was born he made the cutest squeal sounds that the nurses often compared to a cry. He had the biggest baby doll eyes and an extremely distinct & sweet scent. With a full head of light brown hair, he had a bleach blonde patch right on his cowlick. He came out with the cutest little duck face and big pouty lips. Although Gav was in this world for a short period of time, he was always the most captivating person in the room. No matter who you were, you instantly fell in love with him. He furrowed his brows often and resembled a beautiful Brainiac, deep in thought. If you left Gavyn's sight in the slightest, he fussed till you returned. He wanted to constantly be surrounded by people that he loves and that love him, too; and he was. Gavyn preferred being held to the right side of your body only and his most relaxed time was spent being sung to by his grandpa, his best friend.
Gavyn is survived by many loved ones including, Sheila Huhn "nana", uncles and aunts; Dominic, Leiliana, Celeste, Jeremiah, Albert Jr., Jeremy, and Eddie. And many more loved ones and close family friends.
Private services will be held with close family and friends on Wednesday October 19, 2016. He left behind a huge family of changed souls. Most importantly, "Gavy" will always be his sister, Shyloh's, keeper. "Forever our rock-a-bye baby."
