Gean (Champion) Richards, age 80, died June 11th, 2017 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth. Born in Waltham, MA, June 30, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Bradford and Dorothy (Murray) Champion. Gean was a graduate of Randolph High School and maintained lifetime friendships with many of her classmates. For most of her life she had worked with various municipalities as Assistant Treasurer in Dover, Wareham, Duxbury, and Kingston, retiring in 2002. She moved to Plymouth over 37 years ago, previously residing in Dover. Gean was an animal lover and enjoyed working with various shelters and adoption agencies. She enjoyed nature and cherished her time spent at the pond with her family and friends. She was also an avid and loyal Patriots fan. Gean was the loving mother of Scott Richards and his wife Laura Richards as well as Mark Richards and his wife Susan Deskis all of Chicago, IL. She was the cherished grandmother of Casey and Max Smith, Leigh Richards, Brad Richards and Jay Richards. Friends and relatives are welcome to visiting hours at the Davis Funeral & Cremation Home, 619 State Rd., Plymouth (Manomet) on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. The funeral will take place on Friday morning at 10 a.m. at the Swift Memorial United Methodist Church, 10 Williston Rd, Sagamore Beach, MA 02562.
