George F. Fadler, 73, of Columbia passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at his residence. He was born on March 15, 1944, in Sikeston, Missouri, the son of Lester A. and Nina Pearl (Clauser) Fadler, both of whom preceded him in death.



George served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968. He worked as a fisheries biologist in several places, including Anchorage, Alaska, where he did research on catch data and also regulation enforcement. He earned several certificates from University of Alaska at Anchorage, and published several articles about environmental issues. He loved to hunt and fish, and enjoyed fly-tying.



He is survived by one sister, Ruth Stone (RL) of Columbia, Missouri; one brother, Jim Fadler of Valley Park, Missouri; three nephews and one niece; three great-nephews and one great-niece; and several cousins.



Services will be held at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Ft. Leonard Wood, and will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation.
