Werdann - George H., 87, of Clifton, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at home. Born and raised in Belleville, Mr. Werdann resided in Bloomfield for before moving to Clifton 54 years ago. Before his retirement, he was employed as a machinist with Grobet File Co. of Carlstadt. Mr. Werdann was a parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle R.C. Church in Clifton. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean War. He was predeceased by his parents, George H. and Eleanor (nee Monith) and his son-in-law, John Rowe. Survivors include: his beloved wife of 65 years, Sadie (nee Gelok); four children, Nancy Werdann of California, George Werdann and his wife, Noella, of Moonachie, William Werdann of Clifton and David Werdann and his wife, Patty, of Delaware; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 6 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral services will be held Monday 9:15 from the funeral home and 10:00 am at St. Andrew the Apostle R.C. Church, 400 Mt. Prospect Ave., Clifton. Interment to follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, 255 Main Ave., Clifton. Memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans, 315 Hazel St., Clifton, NJ 07011.
