George was born on January 28, 1939 and passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017.

George was a resident of Butler, Pennsylvania at the time of passing.

A proud 20-year veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served on seven submarines: the U.S.S. Tang, the U.S.S. Halibut, the U.S.S. Tunny, the U.S.S. Ben Franklin, the U.S.S. Cobbler, the U.S.S. Lapon, and the U.S.S. Los Angeles.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. from St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St., Butler. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery, Pittsburgh. Military Honors will be accorded at St. Peter Church following the funeral mass by VFW Post 249, American Legion Post 778, and American Legion Post 117. The Women's Council of St. Peter's will meet at the church on Wednesday at 9:35 a.m. to recite the rosary.
