Reverend Monsig Schlegel was born on February 26, 1940 and passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018.

Reverend Monsig Schlegel was a resident of Ohio at the time of passing.

He graduated from Saint Aloysius Elementary School in 1954 and in 1958 graduated from Saint Charles Preparatory School (Columbus).

Calling hours will take place at Saint Joan of Arc Parish, 10700 Liberty Road, Powell, on Monday, April 16, 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., concluding with a prayer service. Visitation will resume Tuesday, April 17, 11:30 a.m. at Saint Joan of Arc, continuing until the Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m.; Bishop Frederick Campbell will celebrate the Mass, concelebrated by Bishop James Griffin and priests of the Diocese; burial will immediately follow at Resurrection Cemetery (Lewis Center).
