Georgena Langham was born on May 4, 1923 to George Cain and Alvena Kratky Cain. She grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from Classen High School. During World War II she lived in Long Beach California and worked as a civilian teletype operator. She was one of the first civilians to learn of the end of the war as it came across the wire. She moved back to Oklahoma City in 1945. She was married to Leland Thurmond Beachboard from 1943 until 1953. They had one daughter, Caroline Jean Beachboard. Georgena studied cosmetology and was licensed as a beautician until she was in her 80's. On May 25, 1956, she married Leonard Bruce Langham. They had one son, Russell Kelly Langham. She worked with Bruce as he established Bruce Langham Construction Company as secretary/treasurer and bookkeeper. She was the proud grandmother of eleven grandchildren, Julie Hall, Laura Hall, Matt Hall, Zach Langham, Cooper Langham, Hunter Langham, Mackenzie Langham, Katy Langham, Barrett Langham, Lacey Langham, and Sophia Langham. She is also survived by her son-in-law Lloyd Roettger and daughter-in-law Lisa Langham. Her hobby was genealogy. She loved the Lord and was thankful to have the opportunity to be a prayer partner for Trinity Broadcasting Network for several years. She was a member of the Christian Church Disciples of Christ. Georgena lived in Guthrie OK the last four years of her life. She died peacefully on October 20, 2017 after an extended illness.
