Gerald Duane “Bing” Ward, 81 of Apopka, FL passed away on December 9, 2016. He was born in Muskegon, Michigan on August 30, 1935. Gerald was a talented carpenter and enjoyed making cradles, as well as toys for children. He was the former owner of Ward’s Painting Co. in Apopka for many years. Gerald was preceded in passing by his first wife, Janet Ann Beebe Ward, who he married in 1955 and had seven children with. He remarried to Constance Thomas in 1990. Gerald loved being a husband, father and grandfather. He was known as Little Grandpa, due to his height. But he had a heart as big as anyone and always was ready to tell a joke and get a smile. He loved to fish and work in his yard. He never liked to sit still. Gerald always wanted to provide for his family. He attended the Apopka Seventh Day Adventist Church and made sure his children became people of faith.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; and by four brothers: Gene Ward, Ed Ward, Donnie Ward and Teddy Ward. He is survived by his loving wife, Constance: his children: Sheila (Jim) Kowalski, Veronica Bacon, Valerie (Gerry) Henderson, Sherri (Dennis) Colburn, Jeffrey Ward, Rebecca (Billy) Chambers and Teresa (Patrick) Watson; his step children: Dale (Deborah) Anderson, Tom (Debi) Anderson, Rick (Sheila) Anderson and Jeff (Joe) Anderson; his brothers and sisters: Beverly (Lyle) Richards, Gail (Ed) Dewitt, Sharon (Leo) Smith and Bill Ward; and his 28 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren with 4 more on the way.
