Gerald was born on September 8, 1944 and passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017.

Gerald was a resident of Michigan at the time of passing.

Born September 8, 1944 in Detroit, MI to Joseph and Eleanor (nee Putman) Van Wambeke, he received his JD from the University of Detroit, and was a dedicated history and law teacher in the Ann Arbor schools for 40 years, affectionately known as "Mr. Van" to his many students.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Michigan Parkinson Foundation, St. James Episcopal Church, or Wire Fox Terrier Rescue Midwest.
