Gerald Lincoln LePard, age 83, born and raised in Great Falls, passed away in Phoenix, Arizona of cancer complications, on February 27, 2016 with his family present.

Jerry was in the naval reserves in high school when he was drafted into the Korean War, serving 2 years of active duty. It was there he received his electronics training. He attended 2 years of Engineering at Montana State following his service.

He worked for Mountain Bell telephone company in the installation department. He installed the first digital office in the State of Montana in Bainville, Montana.

He married Darlene Shirley LePard and together they had 3 children: David, Linda (Smith) and Glenn LePard. They have four grandchildren: Meg and Hunter (Linda and Steve Smith) and Acacia and Maddie (Dave and Tiffany LePard).

He worked as Office Manager of Western Sign Corporation for several years between stints for the phone company. In his later years he was maintenance supervisor for Circle K stores in Montana.

Upon retirement the LePards moved to the mountains to live in a log home near White Sulphur Springs that he built himself. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved sharing this with his beloved family. During this time he enjoyed working as a Sky Lift Operator at Showdown Ski Area.

He loved motorhoming with his family and settled in Peoria, Arizona in 2005. He loved his home and friends there.

He is preceded in death by his son Glenn in 2012, and his parents Esther and Gerald LePard.

He will be buried in the mountains near Monarch, Montana near his son Glenn. No services are pending. Donations in his memory may be sent to McLaughlin Cancer Research Institute, 1520 23rd Street South, Great Falls, MT 59405.
