Mrs. Geraldine 'Gerry' Loudermilk Brown, age 78, of Acworth, GA., passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2017. Mrs. Brown was born on January 30, 1939 in Atlanta, GA., the daughter of the late Robert 'Carl' Loudermilk and Gertrude Daniel Loudermilk.
A lifelong resident of Cobb County, Mrs. Brown was raised in Smyrna and graduated from Campbell High School. After marriage she settled in Acworth, GA with her husband Norm where they lived for the rest of their lives. In 1994, after thirty three dedicated years, Gerry retired from Lockheed Martin as a Payroll Department Manager. Her favorite pastime was spending time at their beach condo in Panama City Beach, Florida with her family and friends. Some of her favorite hobbies were working in her flower garden and maintaining her green house. Gerry could easily be described as a beautiful picture of grace; she was a wonderful and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend; she will certainly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Along with her parents Gerry was preceded in death by her late husband in 2014, Norman D. Brown; and three brothers, Bobby Loudermilk, Doug Loudermilk, and David Loudermilk.
She is survived by her two sons, Scott Brown, (Karen) of Milton, GA., and Clay Brown, (Deanna) of Canton, GA.; three grandchildren, Carl 'Alex' Brown, Adam Brown, and Justin Harrison; and several cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Geraldine Brown will be held at twelve o'clock in the afternoon on Saturday, March 4, 2017 in the Chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home with Robert Ledbetter officiating. Interment will follow in the Green Lawn Cemetery of Roswell, GA. at two o'clock, with a reception following.
