Gerry Dean Glasscock, 74, passed away on October 18th, 2017. Gerry was born on February 1st, 1943 in Cordell, Oklahoma to J.P. and Ruby (Penner) Glasscock. He and his 3 siblings grew up on the family farm near Cordell, where he developed his lifelong passion for animals and gardening. Gerry was a 1961 graduate of Corn High School. After high school, he enlisted in the Navy, proudly serving his country in Vietnam. In 1968, he married the love of his life, Ethelwyn "Patty" Glasscock. Gerry and Patty raised two amazing children, Chris and Dawn. Following his service in the Navy, he attended college prior to joining the United States Federal Government Civil Service. Gerry spent more than 30 years at Tinker Air Force Base as a Magnetic Particle Inspector. In addition to his gardening, in his free time Gerry enjoyed fishing and camping with his wife and children, spending time with his grandchildren, and enjoying the company of his fellow service members in the American Legion. Gerry was preceded in death by his parents, J.P. and Ruby; and his wife Patty. He is survived by his children, Chris Glasscock, and Dawn Addison and her husband, David; his grandchildren, Kimberly Bullock and her husband, Jeff, Ethelwyn Necole Glasscock and her finance, Dillon Tenney, Johnathan Glasscock, and Tyler Addison; his siblings, Kay Francis and her husband, John, Bill Glasscock and his wife, Dana, and Peggy Renshaw and her husband, Pat. Survivors also include numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and loved ones who will miss him dearly. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 23rd, 2017 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel with interment to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens in Midwest City, OK.
