Gilbert was born on November 6, 1936 and passed away on Monday, September 12, 2016.

Gilbert was a resident of Pensacola, Florida at the time of his passing.

Gilbert graduated from Pensacola High School and Pensacola Junior College. Gilbert earned his Bachelors degree in electrical engineering from The Georgia Institute of Technology.

He served his country in the US Army.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday September 18 2016 from 12:30 to 1:30 pm at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday September 18 2016 at 2:00 pm at Bayview Memorial Park.
