Gilbert Friberg, 77 of Littleton, passed at his residence on September 19, 2016. He was born in Malden, MA on July 14, 1939 son of the late Robert and Edith (Pearce) Friberg. He grew up in Malden, came to Littleton as a teenager and was a graduate of Littleton High School. He worked at Cobbs Chicks in Littleton, Hartnett Tannery in Ayer and most recently at Polaroid as a tester and technician for over 30 years. Gil loved to travel, golf and fish.
He is survived by his childhood sweetheart and wife of 56 years Vilena (DeSilvio) Friberg of Littleton; 2 sons, Samuel Friberg and wife Mary, and Eric Friberg of Littleton; 2 daughters, Debra Stone and husband Richard of Somers CT, and Heidi Bourgeois and husband Daniel of Troy Maine; sister-in-law Sandra (DeSilvio) Hinckley and spouse Ronald; 7 grandchildren Jennifer, Hanna, Abby, Molly, Dean, Kate, and Will; nephew Brian Wright and niece Sarah Hinckley. He is also predeceased by his brothers Robert Friberg and William Friberg, sister-in-law Linda (DeSilvio) Farnsworth Wright and nephew Craig Hinckley.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
