Glenn Wilbert Marten Age 76, of Baraboo WI, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 following a brief illness. Glenn was born December 3, 1940 in Chicago to parents Wilbert and Eleanore (nee Bohl). He graduated from Milwaukee Lutheran High School in 1958. He went on to serve in the United States Army. He graduated from Spencerian College with a degree in business. Glenn worked as a computer programmer for General Motors, retiring after more than 30 years of dedicated employment. Glenn was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His many interests included travel, camping, hiking, nature, cars and sports. In May of 1964 he was united in marriage to Barbara Ann Klug. They were blessed with two children, Daniel Marten of Waunakee and Deborah (James) Kessen of Franklin and two granddaughters, Ashley and Mikayla Kessen. He was preceded in death by his parents, loving wife Barbara and dear sister Pearl Loeber. He is further survived by his in-laws Gloria (Donald) Wilde, Ronald (Sheryl) Klug, Rita Simon, 14 nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation at Harder Funeral Home on Monday, November 6 from 10:00 AM, until the time of Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Entombment at Wisconsin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Heart Association are appreciated.
