Harold Edward Morris, 88, of Dayton, Ohio passed away on June 25, 2017. Born on June 5, 1929 in Keokee, Virginia to Andrew and Beatrice Morris, he relocated to Dayton in 1947. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1951-53 in Germany, achieving the rank of Sergeant. He married Helen Imogene Parrish in 1963 and worked at the Frigidaire and Harrison Radiator divisions of General Motors for 39 years. He was a practical and straightforward man, with a dry wit and curious nature. An avid sportsman, he loved being outdoors in nature. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and trapshooting. He enjoyed crafting fishing lures and tinkering with mechanics. He was a great fan of baseball, and was delighted to visit the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, New York. He is survived by his wife Imogene; children Timothy and Sheila; and grandchildren Joshua, Elijah, and Isaiah. He had four brothers, Myrl, Ray, Gerald, and Bill as well as three sisters, Sondra Gleason, Sue Baker, and Trula McKenney, and he was very close to his cousin, Tommy Morris. Burial will take place at Dayton Memorial Park cemetery.
