Harold Edward Nott, 78, of Grabill, Ind., passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born May 28, 1937 in Garrett, Ind., he was a son of the late William and Emma (Diedrich) Nott. Harold married the love of his life, Jeanette (Atwater), on June 26, 1960 and moved to Grabill in 1963 where they have lived for nearly 53 years. Harold, also known affectionately as the "White Buffalo" was employed with BF Goodrich for 32 years from which he retired in 1994. After retiring, he was employed with Meijer for nine years. Harold in his younger years was a Little League Coach, Cub Master, and past Lions Club member. He enjoyed bowling, cards, golf, dominos, horseshoes; and in his later years, TV Westerns featuring John Wayne. Harold loved his grandchildren dearly and often found much joy in making them his special "Mickey Mouse Pancakes." He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Jeanette (Atwater) Nott of Grabill; children, Pamela Nott of Grabill, Ind., Brian (Barbara) Nott of St. Joe, Ind., Jeffrey Nott of Fort Wayne, Carolyn (Randy) Bridge of Woodburn, Ind., Stephen (Megan Miller) Nott of St. Joe, Ind., and Donna (Gregory) Weber of Kendallville, Ind.; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and brother, Howard (Lorraine) Nott of Midland, MI. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Timothy Nott and his Daughter-in-law, Stephanie (McBride) Nott. Funeral Service will be at 11:00am on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Hockemeyer Funeral Home, 17629 S.R. 37, Harlan, Ind., with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be from 2-4pm & 6-8pm on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Harlan, Lions Club or Pathway Lutheran Church.
