Harold E. Poole, 91, WW II US Army Veteran, passed away February 13, 2018, at McCandless Veterans Home, Florence. Born February 3, 1927 in Cambridge, MA to Peter and Inza Poole. During WW II he served in the Pacific Theater. On his return from service, he worked as a snow plow driver for the State of Connecticut. He also worked at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft, Colt Fire Arms and the City of Aurora. Not one to sit idle, in his retirement years, he worked for Pueblo Home Depot. He was predeceased by wife Shirley in 1984. Also predeceased by siblings Elaine Crandall, Timothy Poole, George Poole, and most recently Wallace Poole on February 9, 2018. He is survived by children Barbara Shaffer (William) and David Poole, grandchildren James (Angela), Chris and Brian McAwley. Also, by great-grandchildren Kaylee and Tristan, as well as sisters Marjorie Uphold and Carol Krar, brothers James Poole and John (Rita) Poole and many nieces and nephews.
