Walett, Harold R. Jr "Bud" 65, Beloved husband of Susan M. (Motte) Walett of Plymouth. Father of Diane McLachlan and her husband , Doug, of West Plymouth, Jason Walett and his wife, Erin, of Enfield, CT, and Kathryn Walett of Plymouth. Grampy to Cameron Derek Thomas McLachlan, Connor Richard Douglas McLachlan, Natalie Isabella Walett and Ethan Jacob Walett. Brother to Jon Walett of Duxbury, Teri Taylor of Falmouth and the late Susan Butler. He also leaves a special friend and care giver Selma Cherry, several nieces and nephews and his canine companion, Splash. He passed away at his home in Plymouth on March 17 with his family by his side after a courageous fight against Melanoma, and often surprised his doctors with his strength and positive attitude. Bud was born in Brockton of Harold and Marilyn (Reynolds) Walett. He graduated from Silver Lake High School in 1969 . He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Bud worked as a truck driver for Shiretown Moving and Storage, owned by his father-in-law Tom Motte for 20 years and then J.P. Noonan Transportation for the last 26 years. He enjoyed his family, riding his motorcycle, being involved with his grandkids activities as much as possible, and telling jokes. Visiting Hours will be at the Davis Funeral and Cremation 619 State Road (Rte. 3A) Plymouth (Manomet) on Wednesday March 23 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday March 24, at 10:00 AM. Burial to follow at Pocasset Cemetery. On-line condolences may be made at cartmelldavis.com
