Harry was born on December 8, 1925 and passed away on Monday, May 15, 2017.

Harry was a resident of Indiana.

Harry graduated from Jackson Center High School in Wells County in 1944.

Harry Lee Landis, 91

HARTFORD CITY ' Harry Lee Landis, 91, passed away at 3:07 a.m. Monday, May 15, 2017 at Miller's Merry Manor Nursing Home.
He was born in Hartford City on December 8, 1925 to Floyd Everett Landis and Margaret Ann (White) Landis. Both parents preceded him in death.
Harry graduated from Jackson Center High School in Wells County in 1944. He served in the United States Navy, where he was awarded the Victory Medal, American Area Campaign Medal and the Asiatic-Pacific Area Campaign Medal.
He married Frances A. Baker on November 3, 1946 in Hartford City.
Harry retired from GM in Muncie on September 30, 1982, where he had been a machine operator for 38 years.
He was a member of Fairview United Brethren Church, where he was a former Sunday school Superintendent Chairman and Trustee of the Church Board. He was also a member of UAW, Avondale Sympathy Club and RCA Sympathy Club.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Frances Alice Landis of Hartford City; son, James 'Jim' A. (wife, Linda) Landis of Hartford City; grandchildren, Christopher L. (wife, Andrea) Landis, Jessica L. (husband, Scott) Blakely, Highley E. Devine, Kimberly K. (husband, Zachary) Montgomery; great-grandchildren, Chandler Landis, Bailey Landis, Aubrey Landis, Caden Landis, Madison Blakely, Spencer Blakely, Highley D.J. Devine and Brenton Montgomery; several nieces and nephews.
He is also preceded in death by his brother, Floyd I. Landis.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Fairview United Brethren Church, 3895 North State Road 3 Hartford City, IN with Pastor Jeffrey Holter officiating.
Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Muncie.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High St. Hartford City and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, May 18, 2017 at the church.
